Stick with Felt for Tibetan Singing Bowl
Length: approximately 18 cm
Our Tibetan singing bowl sticks are handcrafted in India by skilled artisans. They are made from natural materials: wood and felt (felt is a textile material made from compressed wool fibers, appreciated for its soft and fluffy texture).
The wooden handle provides a comfortable grip. At the other end, there is a part covered with felt, which is used to gently strike the singing bowl:
Hold the stick with your dominant hand (right for right-handed and left for left-handed), and hold the bowl flat in your other hand. Then, give a gentle strike to the bowl using the side of the stick covered with felt.
Next, try to "capture" the sound by gently rotating the stick around the outer edge of the bowl to make it "sing."
The friction process creates vibrations that resonate through the bowl. This requires a delicate technique to produce clear and continuous sounds.
The harmonious vibrations of the Tibetan singing bowl help calm the mind, promote meditation, concentration, and create a state of peaceful awareness. They can be used in relaxation sessions, yoga, and deep breathing exercises.
Some practitioners use singing bowls for healing through sound therapy. The vibrations are believed to help unlock blockages and restore balance and harmony in the body and mind.
