Mala Creativity
The mala is a Hindu or Buddhist prayer bead used for meditation and chanting mantras. It typically consists of 108 beads, as this number is sacred in Asian spiritual traditions.
The 'guru' bead is the central bead of the mala, distinct from the others and often larger. It represents the spiritual teacher, guide, or instructor. When using a mala for meditation or mantra recitation, one usually starts with the guru bead and continues counting each bead while reciting the chosen mantra. Upon reaching the last bead of the mala, counting is not continued, but one may reverse using the guru bead to go back. This symbolizes respect and acknowledgment for the spiritual guide who assists in your spiritual practice.
This mala is composed of mookaite beads (protection, circulation, anti-stress, digestion, immune system, optimism, and self-confidence), brecciated jasper (meditation, harmonious sexuality), African turquoise or African jasper (luck, communication, positivity), and clear quartz crystal (amplifies and recharges other minerals, dissolves blockages, purity, visualization, concentration).
