Plant a Tree

Arasia invites you to participate in the 1€ = 1 tree operation, which was launched in 2010. You can plant a tree, or several, in partnership with Arasia and the environmental protection associations that we select. Currently, in partnership with Planète Urgence, we are planting trees in Peru (Amazonia), and Indonesia. 2080 trees have already been planted by Arasia and its customers since 2010, an average of 160 trees per year. The projects we select raise local populations' awareness of tree and forest issues, and the population becomes an actor in its own development, in harmony with nature.

Description

Paper mache ball

Paper mache balls, created by hand in India, are authentic works of art that add a unique touch to any decoration, especially during the festive Christmas season. These little wonders, measuring approximately 8cm in diameter, are much more than just an ornament: they embody the refinement of traditional Kashmiri Indian craftsmanship.

The art of paper mache is an ancient practice in India that dates back centuries. This careful technique involves creating objects using shredded paper, flour-based glue, and paint. Each paper mache ball is a unique piece, imbued with the soul of the artisan who created it. Every detail, every pattern, meticulously designed, makes these balls miniature masterpieces.

These balls are versatile as a decorative element. They are designed to be able to be hung, thanks to a beautiful ribbon integrated into their structure. You can hang them on a nail on the wall, hang them from a window, or use them to beautify your Christmas tree. They are perfect for adding a festive touch to any area of your home.

When Christmas approaches, paper mache balls can be given to craft lovers and people looking for unique and original Christmas decorations. They provide a warm environment, far from the massive products usually offered in department stores. They tell a story of tradition and craftsmanship.

They come from Kashmir, a spectacular mountainous region of India, renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship, demonstrating the great skills of local artisans.

Whether for Christmas or all year round, when you hang one of these paper mache balls, you bring home a piece of Kashmir, with its picturesque landscapes, majestic mountains, sparkling rivers and rich culture and art. Each ornament is a unique piece imbued with an aura of mystery and beauty, embodying a timeless artistic expression that transcends seasons and trends.

These paper mache balls tell a story of cultural preservation: Kashmiri artisans work to keep traditions alive and pass on their skills from generation to generation.

By purchasing these balls, you are helping to preserve an ancient cultural heritage and supporting local communities in Kashmir.
